Summary:
Purely a shooter, Green moves well without the ball and is a dangerous weapon coming off of screens. He isn’t a bad athlete, utilizing his quickness when moving off the ball and around screens, which combined with his quick release on his shot, makes him a difficult shooter to contest. Most of Green’s offense comes from behind the 3 point line and his rim volume is minimal, along with very few trips to the free throw line.
Defensively, Green improved significantly in his final season at Florida State. However, he still is inconsistent, and can be blown by against above average athletes in college, which is worrisome with the NBA being full of great athletes.
As a pure shooter, Green profiles best as a 3 point shooter that will thrive in the G League and have to earn an NBA contract after multiple years of 3 point shooting dominance. A great use case for Green to model his game after is Tyler Hall, who was a more well-rounded scorer at Montana State, but then became a shooting specialist in the way Green currently operates. Having an edge on already being in that specialized role, Green could compete for a final roster spot on an NBA team in a few years or thrive overseas.
Projected draft range: Undrafted
Expected role: Pure shooter that comes in when a team needs to make a last minute run.
Unplayable if: Surrounding skills away from shooting do not improve with NBA spacing.
Exceeds expectations if: Defensive improvements from college translate up to the NBA.
